Tips & Tricks[]

Try to keep the strings even so that the candies don't slide off. If you need to secure the ends of the strings, do so with your elbows against your body. When the candies reach your face, put your mouth to one side of the M&Ms and gently pull the opposite side's string to slide them into your mouth.

You will need to focus on your hand-eye coordination and balance.

  • Start by practicing your grip on the strings: It's important to have a firm, secure grip on the strings so that you can control the movement of the pencils and prevent the candies from falling.
    • Try wrapping the strings around your fingers rather than just holding them in your palms. This can help to give you more control over the movement of the strings.
    • Experiment with different grips to see what works best for you. You might find that a pinch grip with your thumb and all your fingers is more effective than just using your thumb and index finger.
  • Use a steady and controlled motion: When pulling the strings, try to use a steady and controlled motion to avoid jerking the pencils or causing the candies to fall.
    • Take your time and move slowly. This will give you more control and allow you to adjust your grip and position if necessary.
    • Use a smooth, fluid motion to avoid jostling the pencils and candies.
  • Keep your arms close to your body: This will help to maintain your balance and control as you lift the pencils and candies.
    • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your weight evenly distributed.
    • Keep your elbows bent and close to your sides as you lift the pencils.
    • Avoid reaching too far out with your arms, as this can cause you to lose balance.
  • Pay attention to the position of the pencils: The position of the pencils can have a big impact on the stability of the candies. If the pencils are tilted too far to one side, the candies may fall off. Try to adjust the position of the pencils to keep them as balanced as possible.
    • Keeping your grip on the strings as close to the pencils as possible.
    • Paying attention to the position of the pencils as you lift them and adjusting your grip as necessary.
    • Avoiding tilting the pencils too far to one side.
  • Practice and try different techniques: The more you practice, the more comfortable you will become with the motion and grip needed to lift the pencils and candies. Experiment with different ways of pulling the strings and see what works best for you.
    • Practice lifting the pencils and candies at different speeds. Try lifting them quickly and smoothly, or slowly and carefully. See what works best for you.
    • Experiment with different grips on the strings. Try wrapping the strings around your fingers or using a pinch grip with your thumb and all your fingers.
    • Practice lifting the pencils and candies from different angles. This will help you to develop your control and coordination.
